Refreshing the information in the App
The Rad Vine App communicates with our unique server technology to ensure that you can download all the latest wine reviews and information as soon as it becomes available. To obtain the latest information, simply press the Refresh button on the top toolbar. When you press Refresh, the App will communicate with our server and download a new copy of all of the latest information into your iPhone, including wine reviews, features wines, events and information. Pressing Refresh works best when you have a reasonable internet connection. It is possible to refresh the information in the App using a cellular data network however it might be a little slow. If for any reason you are unable to refresh, we suggest that you:
-check your internet connectivity by seeing whether you can open a normal web page in safari;
-try again later as there may have been a server interruption.
Once you have downloaded wine information into your App it stays there until you next press Refresh. Consequently, you can browse all wine reviews and other information without needing an internet connection.
A refresh normally takes around a minute (or faster if you have a fast internet connection). If you find that a refresh fails to complete, this is normally due to an internet connectivity issue. Just close the App and reopen the App and try again or try again later. The information in the App is not replaced until a refresh completes in full so there is no harm in stopping the App while a refresh is in progress.
Choosing favourite wines
If there is a particular wine which you wish to remember, when looking at the detailed review, press the white button labelled “Add” with a picture of a heart. This will add the wine to your favourites list which you can access by pressing the heart icon in the top toolbar. To remove a wine from the favourites list, go back to the detailed review and press the white button which will now say “Remove”. Favourites are reset when you press Refresh. You can also see which wines have been marked as favourites in a list of wines because favourites will have a blue heart appearing next to the name of the wine.
